OLD BRIDGE, N.J.
While members of the public
are touring the “Parade of Ponds” being Sponsored by Old Bridge
based GROUNDSKEEPER Inc. They have the added satisfaction of knowing
they are helping provide funds to Township With A Heart Inc. which is an
organization dedicated to assisting Old Bridge residents in need of
financial aid.
This is the second tour being sponsored by the design and
landscape firm located on Route 516 in Old Bridge.
Money donated by those attending the first tour in July was dedicated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Nashville Tenn. Funds
collected from this tour will benefit both St. Jude’s and the local,
private non-profit Township With A Heart, Inc.
Township With A
Heart, Inc. was formed
in 1983 by the late Councilman George Bush.
Its purpose is to
help residents who are in crisis and don’t know where to turn.
Some of those receiving help include the working poor, the
recently unemployed, those dealing with catastrophic illness, senior
citizens on fixed incomes and grandparents raising grandchildren.
The organization raises the major part of its funds through a
Dinner-Dance held every fall.
The idea for the “Parade of Ponds Tour” was conceived by Jay
Eriv, owner of GROUNDSKEEPER Inc. Recognizing that ponds provide a
perfect backyard getaway, he decided to showcase them by offering people
the opportunity to view various ponds his firm has created.
The tour featured ponds at 21 locations in Middlesex, Monmouth,
Morris, Ocean, and Somerset counties.
The second “Parade of Ponds Tour” will be a moonlight tour to
be held on Saturday, September 30TH
at 6 pm. and will showcase the water gardening lifestyle at
night.
Anyone

Children’s Hospital.
Speaking for Township With A Heart, Inc., President Edna Gordon stated, “We are
